COVID-19 outbreak declared over at Pioneer Ridge

COVID-19 outbreak at a long-term care home is now over.

THUNDER BAY – An outbreak of COVID-19 at the Pioneer Ridge long-term care home has been declared over.

The outbreak was declared at the Pioneer Ridge – Plaza 2 on April 4, 2022.

In a statement, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit significant measures were already in place to reduce the likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.
