COVID case confirmed at Pope John Paul II school

Situation also has an impact on St. Patrick High School.

THUNDER BAY -- COVID-19 has been detected at yet another Thunder Bay School.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Wednesday announced a case associated with Pope John Paul II Senior Elementary School has been confirmed, impacting a pair of cohorts at the south-side facility.

St. Patrick High School has also been affected.

Students and staff have been notified and public health officials will be in contact with them while the cohorts have to stay home. Close contacts are also being identified and anyone not deemed a close contact will not be contacted.
