THUNDER BAY — A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Chartwell Thunder Bay Retirement Residence.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and management of the Arundel Street facility made the announcement Monday afternoon.
They did not disclose the number of individuals involved, or whether they are residents or staff members.
TBDHU is assessing the situation, and said it will take further measures as needed to manage the situation.
Other current COVID-19 outbreaks in high-risk settings in the Thunder Bay area include Pioneer Ridge and Hogarth Riverview Manor's Daffodil resident home area.
