THUNDER BAY — There's a new outbreak of COVID-19 at a Southbridge Care Homes facility in Thunder Bay.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit declared an outbreak Tuesday in portions of Southbridge Lakehead Manor.
The outbreak impacts the fourth and sixth floors of the South Vickers Street nursing home.
TBDHU said it has initiated an assessment of the situation, and that further measures will be taken as required to manage the outbreak.
According to the health unit's latest posted data, there are currently nine active COVID outbreaks in high-risk settings across the district.
