Cyclist struck on Huron Avenue

Thunder Bay Police remain on scene investigating the incident, which took place at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

THUNDER BAY – A child was taken to hospital after he was allegedly struck by a pick-up truck on Huron Avenue.

Police, fire and emergency medical services crews responded to the incident, which took place at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday between Matthews and Royal Street.

Police have blocked access to Huron Avenue at Hudson Avenue and Matthews Street while they conduct their investigation.

There is no indication as to the nature of any injuries suffered as a result of the collision, although the ambulance remained on scene for several minutes after the victim was put on board.
