Students hoping to enroll in Lakehead University's new law school don't have much time left to apply.
The deadline for the first class in 2013 is fast approaching. Lakehead University will be establishing the first law degree program in Northern Ontario next September. The Program will accept 55 students, and will have a strong focus on Aboriginal Law, and legal issues relating to Natural Resource Management.
The program is accepting applications until Nov. 1, and Law School Dean Lee Steusser is pushing that deadline.
Stuesser said they've had only a few applications come in so far, but he's confident the demand is out there.
This will be the first new law school in Ontario in over 40 years.
