Discount retailer Giant Tiger coming to Thunder Centre

Company operates 250 stores across Canada.

THUNDER BAY -- A Giant Tiger Stores spokeswoman has confirmed the company will open a Thunder Bay location on April 25, 2020. 

Cassandra Estrade on Monday confirmed the decision to CKPR Radio via email that the 20,700 square-foot location will open at 349 Main St., in the Thunder Centre. 

The Canadian-owned discount retailer first opened in 1961 in Ottawa and today has more than 250 stores in eight provinces. The company sells food, clothing and household goods.
