FORT FRANCES – A report of a disturbance has resulted in an assault charge for a 29-year-old La Vallee Township resident.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers responded to a report of a disturbance Wednesday just before 3 a.m. at a commercial business on the 800 block of Kings Highway in Fort Frances.
As a result of the investigation, Ryan Early Bell, 29, from La Vallee Township was arrested and charged with assault – with a weapon, resisting peace officer and failure to comply with release order.
The accused is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Feb. 10 in Fort Frances.
