THUNDER BAY -- Someone who bought a ticket in Saturday’s Ontario 49 draw in the Thunder Bay area will be $2 million richer when they step forward to claim their winnings.
A spokesperson for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation confirmed a winning ticket was sold somewhere in the district.
“I checked the records from Saturday’s draw and yes a $2 million Ontario 49 ticket was sold in your area – but the area is described as Thunder Bay district versus Thunder Bay the city,” Tony Bitonti said.
“As you know we can’t say exactly where the ticket was sold until it is claimed and the prize is paid out. So we will have to wait until the ticket holder comes forward.”
Bitonti said he will send out a media release with the name and photo of the winner once they know who that individual is.
For prizes over $1,000, OLG asks you to submit your claim online.
