THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police say they are keeping a close eye out for unsafe vehicles on highways across the Northwest.
The Thunder Bay detachment on Wednesday reported details of an incident that saw a motorist charged with half a dozen separate offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
The alleged infractions included operating an unsafe vehicle, operating an overweight vehicle, driving an improperly-licensed motor vehicle, drawing a trailer with no permit, using a plate not authorized for a vehicle, and driving with an improper braking system.
Police did not release details, but a photo they posted on social media showed a lug nut missing from a wheel.
