DRYDEN — A crash notification led police to an intoxicated driver.
On Oct. 19, around 9 p.m., after emergency services received a crash notification from a cell phone, police responded to the scene on Highway 17.
OPP from Sioux Lookout and Dryden attended the scene and located the driver.
After investigating, officers determined the driver was intoxicated by either drugs or alcohol.
A 42-year-old Dryden resident was charged with impaired driving, as well as having open liquor in the car and failing to surrender an insurance card.
The accused has been released from custody and has a future court date.
