It's the first week on the job for Dryden's new City Manager, and the new name will be familiar to some Northwestern Ontario residents.
Joe Van Koeverden said the first few weeks are all about listening and learning. That’s what he expects to do as he settles in as Dryden's new CAO. Previously, Van Koeverden had served as a Regional Director with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in the Thunder Bay office.
Before that he was the Business Development Manager for the City of London and CEO of the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation.
Van Koeverden replaces the former City Manager Arie Hoogenboom, who retired in early May.
