TIMMINS -- Claire Dubinsky is a provincial champion once again.

The Thunder Bay skip made easy work of Sunday's championship final at the Northern Ontario U18 girls' curling championship, trouncing hometown favourite Deanna Chilton 11-0 in the finale.

Dubinsky, lead Lily Ariganello, second Bella McCarville and third Rylie Paul stole their way to victory. After scoring one with hammer in the first, they stole two in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth and three more in the fifth, when the match came to a merciful end.

Chilton made the final after dispatching Thunder Bay's Lily Wright in Sunday morning's semifinal.

It's the second straight U18 provincial title for the Dubinsky squad, who will compete later this week at the Northern Ontario women's curling championship at the Port Arthur Curling Centre.

The win qualifies the Dubinsky foursome for nationals, which open on Feb. 16 in Saskatoon.
