Dummy Downhill a smashing success (11 PHOTOS)

"The dummies were first-rate" says organizers

THUNDER BAY – The Dummy Downhill 2022 event at Loch Lomond Ski Area was held Sunday for the first time in 3 years.

Conditions were fantastic, we had a great group of participants. The dummies were first-rate. We had some really good excitement on the way down,” said Jason Gerry, general manager.

“It’s super exciting. It’s nice to be able to get outside in big groups again and have some fun and cheer for something. I think the result is everyone had a good time.”

More than 200 people came out to view the event and cheer on their favourite dummy and Gerry hopes to draw just as many people out for the annual slush cup.

“Which is a water skip where we make a pond and then people come down the hill and skip across the water for fun, and prizes, best tricks, etcetera,” said Gerry.

“And we also have a free day coming up as well. We’ll be announcing the details of that soon on our social media.”
