THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Public Library (TBPL) has announced it has more than 30 programs prepared for the March Break.

This programming ranges from an all-ages Royal Tea Party, a Puppy Perks Storytime with real live puppies and a full-day Craftapalooza with supplies included to the St. Patrick’s Day Puppet Show and Party.

“Library programs are a great way to help make reading fun for your child,” said Ruth Hamlin-Douglas, the TBPL’s head librarian, in a written statement.

“And a chance to connect with other parents. This is a fabulous opportunity to socialize with other adults while your children enjoy our high-quality literacy programs together. Grab your kids, grab a coffee and come have some fun with us.”

She said that in addition to all of the fun drop-in programs planned for the week, eight will require registration.

“Registration for each of these starts two weeks in advance of the event and they fill up pretty fast,” said Hamlin-Douglas.

“Parents interested in registering their kids for one of these programs should be visiting our website now to print out the March Break schedule and make note of registration dates.”

The TBPL said it encourages parents of school-aged children to visit its website this week and incorporate the free programming into their March Break plans.
