Erratic driver discovered with open liquor, charged

Erratic driving turned out to be driving under the influence near Sistonens Corners. 

Provincial police got a call about an erratic driver on Highway 11/17 west of the city early Thursday afternoon. 

After sending out patrols, police conducted a traffic stop of the suspected vehicle. 

A 28-year-old from Barrie failed a roadside sobriety test and is now facing multiple charges, including careless driving, impaired driving and driving with open liquor. 

The accused's licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days. 

The accused is scheduled to in a Thunder Bay court in September.
