THUNDER BAY - Be prepared to bundle up as temperatures are expected to plummet over the next several days.
Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the city of Thunder Bay, with a period of very cold wind chills expected.
Temperatures are expected to drop to -26C Wednesday night, but with the wind chill it will feel more like -36C.
Winds will be coming out of the north at between 15 km/h and 17 km/h.
Temperatures will remain cold throughout Thursday, with a high of -18C expected and then dropping back down to -28C Thursday night, with the wind making it feel like -37C.
Friday will see temperatures rise to a high of -11C and Saturday it will warm up to -2C with snow in the forecast.
Extreme cold warnings are issued when cold temperatures or wind chill create conditions that could create health risks, such as frost bite and hypothermia.
