THUNDER BAY — A facility-wide outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared at the Southbridge Lakehead long-term care home.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced the respiratory outbreak had spread to the whole Vickers Street South facility on Wednesday afternoon.
Initially, only the fourth and fifth floors were affected.
Restrictions for admissions, transfers, discharges, social activities and visitations are in place until further notice, according to the health unit.
Caretakers, family members and others looking for more information are asked to contact the facility directly for more information.
