THUNDER BAY – The family of Richard Graham is offering a $3,000 reward for information that helps locate the 42-year-old man, who has been missing for 87 days.
“We miss him. We love him,” said Heather Graham, Richard’s mother on Friday. “He’s been gone too long. We’re waiting for him to come home. We just want to find him.”
She described her son as a person of many talents saying Richard can sing and build anything; he’s loving and his smile is “award-winning.”
“He’s a wonderful person and we just want him home,” she said.
Graham’s cousin, Rylie Isaacs, said the family is offering the reward independent of the Thunder Bay Police Service.
“We understand people may be hesitant in giving information to the police,” Isaacs said. “We have a private cell number you can reach out and share information and tips in helping to find Richard or helping us look in the right direction.”
The last confirmed sighting of Graham was the morning of July 30. He was seen boarding a city bus on Cumberland Street. It’s unknown where he exited the bus.
He was last seen wearing a camouflage short-sleeved shirt, black pants with a camouflage pattern, grey and black running shoes, a camouflage patterned ball cap and a large black backpack with a waist belt and white patch on the top.
He is described as a white male, about five-foot-six with a slim build. He has medium-length red hair and a red beard with hazel eyes.
The family is devastated and afraid, said Isaacs.
“But we are encouraging people to be brave, be bold, come forward, share information,” she said. “We need to protect marginalized people, people with mental illness or addiction. Come together as a community, be brave and come get this reward money.
“We’re happy to give it. We just want to find Richard. The snow is going to fly soon.”
The family will continue their search for Graham and the police investigation is ongoing.
