SIOUX LOOKOUT –  A late second-period goal was all the Kam River Fighting Walleye needed to put away the defending champion Sioux Lookout Bombers. Kaden Goodwin broke the scoreless tie at 18:55 of the middle stanza. Zach Baumann and Tie Schumacher added third-period goals and Ashton Sadauskas stopped all 28 shots to earn his fifth career Superior International Junior Hockey League shutout. The Walleye (4-3-0) pulled to within a point of the second-place Bombers (4-2-1).

Dryden 4, Red Lake 3: Carson Devine scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with 3:39 to go in the third for the Ice Dogs, who opened a 3-0 lead in the first period on goals by McLaren Paulsen, Rylan Oatman and Payton Hu. Nathan Dann had all three goals for Red Lake.

Fort Frances 4, Ironwood 2: Brady Krentz and Landon Lowes broke open a 2-2 contest with third-period goals, leading the Lakers (3-1-1) to a second straight triumph. Ironwood twice took the lead in the game, Morgan Pevie opening the scoring three minutes into the game and then a second time when Collin Baker tallied 85 seconds into the second.

Thunder Bay 13, Kenora 0: Chad Loke scored twice and added a pair of assists to lead the North Stars to a lopsided road win over the second-year Islanders. Beau Helmeczi had a goal and two assists for Thunder Bay, who rode a seven-save shutout by goaltender Keenan Marks. Tyler Jordan had a pair for the North Stars, giving him seven on the season, second-most in the SIJHL.
