THUNDER BAY – No injuries are reported after a fire caused heavy damage to a home on Cumberland Street North Saturday evening.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire around 6 p.m., finding significant smoke and flames emerging from the windows.
The fire was quickly brought under control, reported platoon chief Philip Dzuba, with multiple attack lines deployed by arriving units.
The structure sustained extensive fire damage, he said.
A total of five pumpers, one aerial ladder, and a command unit were on scene.
The fire is currently under investigation by TBFR to determine the cause. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries, the service reported.
