Fire destroys Pole Line Road home

No one was hurt in the early morning fire, which is being investigated by the Ontario Fire Marshal's office.

THUNDER BAY — The Ontario Fire Marshal is on scene after a fire broke out at a residence on Pole Line Road early on Wednesday morning.

No one was hurt in the fire, which broke out at about 8:30 a.m., but the bungalow-style home was destroyed, the roof collapsing and the interior scorched.

Oliver Paipoonge Fire and Emergency Services responded to the incident, with assistance from fire departments in Conmee, Lappe and Thunder Bay.

Thunder Bay Police remain on scene while the investigation is under way.
