Fire heavily damages Fort William First Nation home

A home on Fort William First Nation suffered heavy damage on Sunday morning. A Thunder Bay Fire Rescue spokesman says crews arrived on scene at approximately 4:10 a.m. to find the single-family residence engulfed in fire.

A home on Fort William First Nation suffered heavy damage on Sunday morning.

A Thunder Bay Fire Rescue spokesman says crews arrived on scene at approximately 4:10 a.m. to find the single-family residence engulfed in fire. A second alarm was promptly caled.

The fire was knocked down after being attacked with multiple water lines.

Crews remained on scene for hours trying to fully extinguish the blaze. All residents of the home got out safely. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and investigators have been notified.
