THUNDER BAY – A small fire at a Fort William Road auto repair shop was quickly doused by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews early Monday morning.

Firefighters were met with light flame and smoke emanating from main floor of the building, but they were able to extinguish the small interior fire in rapid fashion.

Six pumper and rescue trucks, an aerial ladder and a command vehicle responded to the site.

The scene does remain under investigation at this time and the access to the building is restricted by police tape.
