THUNDER BAY – Firefighters were called to battle a south side house fire that led to flames visible through the roof of the home.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews were called to the two-storey McGregor Avenue home around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon after receiving a 911 call from a neighbour after smoke was seen billowing from the roof.
A second alarm was quickly activated after first responding units saw both smoke and flames.
Fire department officials on scene said there were no injuries and the fire was contained to the attic.
There is no word yet on the cause.
