Five arrested in southside drug raid

Three suspects are from southern Ontario, while two are from Thunder Bay.

THUNDER BAY — Five people were arrested on Wednesday after police found drugs and cash in a Norah Street home.

Officers with Thunder Bay Police had been investigating the address in connection with drug trafficking and obtained a warrant to search the home. 

A total of five people were arrested, including an 18-year-old male from Brantford, a 23-year-old male from Hamilton, a 17-year-old from Niagara, as well as a 65-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman, both from Thunder Bay. 

During the search, officers seized quantities of suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and other drugs along with Canadian currency, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking. 

All five suspects have been remanded into custody and await future court appearances.
