The conservation authority is putting the Thunder Bay area on notice that there is a potential for flooding.
With up to 60 millimetres of rain in the forecast overnight, the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority has issued the outlook for Thunder Bay, Neebing, Oliver Paipoonge and Shuniah. Dorion, O'Connor, Gillies and Conmee are also named.
The LRCA is warning people to exercise caution around waterways over the coming days.
Items should be moved to higher ground.
"Watercourse levels are low at this time; however, will rise quickly in the event of heavy precipitation," a release from the LRCA states.
