As if the stress of politics isn't enough, a former chief of Fort William First Nation chief is trying her hand in the kitchen of Master Chef Canada.
Georjann Morriseau can't speak about her recent application to the popular television show but as she awaits her fate, the former chief and current councillor is using her Facebook community page Sucre to get new recipes.
"Once a week I will choose a recipe and post the results,” Morriseau writes on her page. “For additional fun I will record on video and upload to my page. I could definitely use your creative help everyone! Come join me and bring all your friends with you! Thank you for all your help."
Morrriseau travelled to Winnipeg July 2 to try and get on the show, currently taking applicant for its third season.
The show looks to find the best home cooks in the country.
A lifelong passion, Morriseau said cooking is a big change of pace from her political life.
