THUNDER BAY – Fort William Historical Park has closed Sunday due to heavy snowfall, announcing it will reopen Monday morning.
The Thunder Bay area was forecast to receive up to 20 centimetres of snow overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning, with Environment Canada calling for another 5 centimetres later Sunday.
This weekend marked the first time Fort William Historical Park had offered its Family Day event since before the pandemic began.
Activities like skating, tubing, snowshoeing, solar viewing, Indigenous storytelling, and other educational activities presented by Science North are set to continue Monday beginning at 11 a.m.
