Four arrested, $22k in drugs seized by OPP

Thousands in drugs were seized during a traffic stop by provincial police.

THUNDER BAY — OPP have made several arrests after a traffic stop along the highway near Lakeshore Drive. 

On Wednesday, officers were on general patrol and made a traffic stop on Hwy 11/17 in Shuniah. 

Throughout the investigation, a search of the vehicle revealed suspected cocaine, fentanyl and other items related to drug trafficking.

Thunder Bay OPP believe the total street value of the suspected cocaine & fentanyl that was approximately $22,000.00.

Two London residents, aged 30 and 31, along with a 29-year-old from Toronto, were charged with multiple drug-related offences. 

As well, a 17-year-old was arrested and is also facing drug charges. 

The four accused were held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on September 12th, 2024.
