Four-way stop now at Court and Pearl Streets

New stop signs were installed at the downtown intersection.

THUNDER BAY — The city has installed a four-way stop in the downtown north core.

At Court and Pearl Streets, there are stop signs on all corners of the intersection.

Previously, it was only a two-way stop for those on Pearl Street.

An assessment by the city’s engineering division found that a four-way stop would be more efficient for changing traffic patterns in the neighbourhood and would provide better routing options for transit operations.
