Gas prices have dropped significantly in city

Prices have dropped more than $1 a litre since June 2022

The price of gas is down to $1.219 in the city and as low as $1.13 for a litre of regular unleaded on Fort William First Nation.

THUNDER BAY – The price of gasoline has plummeted in Thunder Bay and surrounding areas.

Simply Gas on County Fair Boulevard, the Inver on Oliver Road West and the Mobil on Memorial Avenue have each lowered the price for a litre of regular unleaded gasoline to $1.219.

That’s about 18 cents lower than the Ontario average of $1.392, and about 21 cents lower than the Canadian average, according the ontariogasprices.com website.

K&A Variety and Gas Bar on Fort William First Nation has the lowest gas price in all of Ontario, offering up a litre of regular unleaded for $1.13.

THP Variety and Gas Bar is the next lowest in the province, at $1.177 per litre.

In June 2022 gas prices hit $2.229 in Thunder Bay.
