Prior to that Greaves was the manager of finance at the District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board.
It was the right choice, said city manager John Collin.
“With his professionalism, leadership abilities, and corporate knowledge, I am convinced that Keri will serve us well in his new position,” Collin said in the release. “As our lead financial advisor, he has managed the Office of the City Treasurer with a focus on accountability and financial transparency, including improvements to variance reporting, the annual budget process, and procurement.”
A graduate of Lakehead University, Greaves has spent more than 20 years in public service.
Greaves takes over the corporate services role from long-time municipal manager Karen Lewis, who retired this past Friday.
