TORONTO – A group of co-workers has won the second prize worth $227,394.80 from the Feb. 10, 2021 Lotto 6/49 draw.

A group of 15 from Middlesex County and Manitouwadge has won second prize worth $227,394.80 in the Feb. 10, 2021 Lotto 6/49 draw. The group also won $65.10 on another draw on the same ticket bringing their total winnings to $227,459.90

Group leader, Geoff Moore said he and his co-workers have been playing the lottery together for only two weeks.

“I scanned the ticket using the OLG Lottery app and couldn’t believe what I was looking at – I thought someone was pranking me,” he said.

Geoff went to work early to share the news with the group of auto workers.

“It was really cool to see everyone’s faces. We were all really happy.” 

Members of the group all have different plans for their share of the win. “Some are buying new trucks, new campers and lots of trips are being planned for when it’s safe to travel again.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Clarke Side Road in London.
