THUNDER BAY -- City council will hold its final meeting of the year Monday night.

Mayor Keith Hobbs will deliver the 2012 State of the City presentation. In it, he'll outline some of the accomplishments, challenges, and opportunities facing the city.

Changes to how specialized transit is operated in Thunder Bay will also be on the agenda.
City administration is asking council not to approve a new contract with HAGI when the current deal expires in a year.

The city would like to bring specialized transit under the conventional transit umbrella.

Administration believes HAGI transit services can be delivered more efficiently and effectively by bringing the service in house. The plan does not sit well with the head of HAGI.

Executive Director Cal Rankin has taken issue with many components of the new model being proposed.

Rankin and other representatives from HAGI will be outlining their concerns at the city council meeting.
