THUNDER BAY – The investigation into the sudden death of a man on the city's south side earlier this week is in the hands of the coroner.
An autopsy was conducted in Toronto on the body, who was found in a derelict vehicle in a lot on Hardisty Street on Wednesday afternoon, the Thunder Bay Police Service said in a Friday news release.
On Thursday police had said they had identified the 27-year-old man and had notified the next of kin, with public identification to follow the post-mortem examination.
The investigation is a coroner's investigation, though the Friday police news release says investigators continue to look into the matter.
The scene has been released by police.
