High-risk arrest in South side apartment building

There is no threat to public safety at this time, police say.

THUNDER BAY – Police took one person into custody Wednesday, after what they called a planned high-risk arrest at Spence Court.

There were at least eight police vehicles in front of the apartment building on Amelia Street including the tactical unit of the Thunder Bay Police Service in the early afternoon.

Police were seen taking a man out of Spence Court and putting him into a police cruiser.

Thunder Bay Police say there is no concern for public safety at this time, and a police presence will remain in the area. (edited
