Highway 17 crash kills one person

Incident occurred just east of Terrace Bay at about 6:20 p.m. on Monday night.

THUNDER BAY – Monday’s night’s two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 east of Thunder Bay left one person dead.

Ontario Provincial Police say the crash took place at about 6:20 p.m., about six kilometres east of Terrace Bay.

The highway between Marathon and Terrace Bay was closed for several hours, reopening around 3 a.m.

Police continue to investigate the crash.

No details about the victim have been released as of Tuesday morning.
