THUNDER BAY – Dogs walked the market and made sure to pose for the perfect holiday photo.
On Sunday, Goods & Co. Market held its second annual Christmas pet photoshoot. For $22.60 owners were able to bring in their dogs, get a time slot, and help their furry friends pose for some photos.
Most of the funds raised will go to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society.
“It raises awareness for, in this case, the Humane Society and it's good since people are very interested in their dogs and taking pictures of their dogs. It's a good way to bring people in and to raise money for that,” said Adele Harvey, volunteer at Goods & Co.
It was encouraged to dress dogs up in their cutest, silliest or most festive outfits.
Many dog-parents loved the idea, and loved the photos even more.
Aakash Rathod brought his puppy, Dino to the photoshoot.
“He is an American bulldog and he's about four months and a couple of weeks old,” he said.
Rathod said he is always downtown, and when he heard about the pet photoshoot, he knew they would have to attend.
“It’s my dog's first Christmas, so I wanted him to come by and meet all the other dogs and take a couple of good pictures with him on a Christmas set,” he said.
The professional photo sessions were by Kay Lee Photo.
