I would like to nominate Trisha Del Paggio as a holiday hero.

I have had the pleasure of knowing her for the past 20 years as a high school student, a teacher and now a vice-principal of St. Ignatius High School.

"She has given tremendously to our community through the drama program at St Patrick High School, producing many productions over the years, including Footloose, Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz and most unforgettable, Mamma Mia.

She has helped raise over $125,000 for local organizations, including Camp Quality, Our Kids Count, and the RFDA.  In the last 2 years, she has also orchestrated Dancing with the Docs, a biannual event showcasing the talents of healthcare professionals in our community.

This event raised close to $400,000 for hospital laboratory services and a new PET scanner.  She has the ability to bring people together to make a life-changing impact on youths and adults alike.

Her achievements are very impressive because she also balances her community involvement with a young family and three children.

She is selfless and always looking at different ways to help others.

Trisha Del Paggio was nominated as a Holiday Hero by Michael Zussino.
