Horse and wagon rides free on Saturday afternoon

Pictures with the Grinch are also available at Goods and Co.

THUNDER BAY – Downtown Port Arthur has a bit of a country flair on Saturday afternoon.

Dell Farms has set up shop outside the Red Lion Smokehouse, where they are offering free horse and wagon rides to families out shopping or enjoying the afternoon in the north core.

Kyle Lansdell said it’s starting to become a bit of an annual event for he and his family.

“This is the second or third time we’ve been out with the Waterfront (BIA). It’s become a bit of a tradition. We’ve been coming out for Craft Revival. Today there are pictures with the Grinch, so we’re just providing some family entertainments and bringing the horses out for some wagon rides.”

Pictures with the Grinch, being done by donation, are being taken inside the new Goods and Co. marketplace at the former Eaton’s building on Red River Road.

“We’ve got room for about 12 people on the wagon and we’re taking people around the block, so people are coming down and shopping and enjoying the waterfront and this is sort of an added bonus for people,” Lansdell said.

The rides are happening until 4 p.m.
