THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay 50/50 jackpot is record-setting for the fourth straight December.
The grand prize on Monday soared past last year’s all-time high, $3.83-million total, and cruised past $4 million and beyond, with 10 days of ticket sales to go.
“As ticket sales show no signs of slowing down, we can only imagine how high the grand prize will reach by the end of the month,” said Glenn Craig, president and CEO of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.
“One thing we know for sure is that someone will receive a life-changing start to 2025. Breaking the record from last December is a remarkable achievement, and I’m incredibly grateful for the community’s ongoing support, which makes this possible.”
It’s been a record-setting year for the lottery, with more than $41 million in ticket sales. The jackpot has surpassed at least $1.1 million for each of the past 16 months and hasn’t dipped below $1.2 million since October 2023.
There are still $125,000 in early bird prizes up for grabs, including the largest yet, a $50,000 prize being drawn for on New Year’s Eve.
The grand prize draw takes place on Jan. 3.
