Hospital 50/50 surpasses $3M

THUNDER BAY — The jackpot for this month's Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation 50/50 draw has now surpassed $3 million with three weeks still remaining to purchase tickets. 

"Surpassing the $3 million mark is a huge achievement for this December’s 50/50," said Glenn Craig, president and chief executive officer of the foundation. "The incredible support from our community has been overwhelming, and it’s exciting to see the prize continue to grow at such a rapid pace. Someone is going to walk away with a life-changing fortune beyond their wildest dreams."

The foundation had guaranteed a $2.5 million grand prize after last year's December draw reached $3.9 million. 

There is also still $145,000 in early bird prizes to come, including a $25,000 Early Bird Draw on Dec. 27 and the $50,000 Holiday Bonus draw on Dec. 31.

Tickets are available online or in-person at the 50/50 Store in Intercity Shopping Centre are available until midnight on Jan. 2.

The grand prize draw takes place Jan. 3.
