THUNDER BAY – Residents of Hogarth Riverview Manor will no longer have to brush their teeth with cold water.

The long-term care home had been experiencing intermittent hot water disruptions for about a month. On Tuesday, St. Joseph's Care Group confirmed the hot water issue has been permanently resolved.

In an email, it was confirmed that an interim fix was put into place on Friday evening, which restored hot water to all floors of the tower.

"Hot water was restored that evening through a temporary fix, and a permanent solution was installed on Monday. Since that time, hot water has been readily available in all sections of the tower,” said Janine Black, president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Care Group.

“We are grateful to the residents of Hogarth Riverview Manor, who have been patient and understanding throughout this process,” said Black.
