House Lottery announces six early bird winners

Tickets for the $642,000 home are nearly sold out, with just 1,300 of the 16,000 put on sale remaining.

THUNDER BAY -- The Fort William Rotary House Lottery has made Easter weekend a little sweeter for six lucky ticket-buyers.

On Friday organizers announced the first six early bird draw winners, each taking home a $1,000 prize. All six tickets will be put back in the grand-prize draw, which takes place on Thanksgiving. 

The top prize is a five-bedroom home worth $642,047. Tickets are 92 per cent sold a month into the draw period, with about 1,300 of the 16,000 remaining.
