House lottery ticket sales reach halfway mark

The Fort William Rotary House Lottery has reached over 50 per cent ticket sales.

THUNDER BAY— Half of the tickets for the Fort William Rotary House Lottery are gone.

The service club on Tuesday announced they have sold half of the tickets for the 1,360 square foot home at 138 Bruin Crescent.

Although there can only be one grand prize winner on July 1 at 11 a.m., the first EARLY BIRD draw is this Friday with two prizes: $10,000 and $5,000, said a media release.

The club will be opening the doors for the first open house Saturday, May 3, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 138 Bruin Cres.

The split-level house features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, including an ensuite in the primary bedroom, custom kitchen cabinetry, a gas fireplace, a paved driveway and four appliances. There’s also an attached garage.

The exterior work is scheduled for completion in coming warmer months; furnishings provided by Portobello Home are excluded from the offering, said a media release Tuesday.

Tickets are available at the Thunder Bay 50/50 store in Intercity Shopping Centre, online at www.fwrotaryhouselottery.ca, or at coming open houses, beginning Saturday, May 3, and continuing every Saturday  from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. through the end of June, with no cash sales accepted.
