Housing stats shows 28 new homes built last month

Low mortgage rates and strong employment has helped keep the city’s housing development moving forward, according to the latest Canada Mortgage and Housing report. The Canada Mortgage and Housing reported 28 new homes in September.

Low mortgage rates and strong employment has helped keep the city’s housing development moving forward, according to the latest Canada Mortgage and Housing report.


The Canada Mortgage and Housing reported 28 new homes in September. That brings the total number homes built or started to 162 this year and 33 starts on apartments or other multiple units. There was no activity reported on apartments or other multi-unit dwellings. 

The report says low mortgage rates, along with strength in employment have kept new home construction rolling.
