THUNDER BAY — As a weather system brought wind gusting up to 80 km/h to Thunder Bay on Tuesday morning, multiple power outages were reported in rural areas.
Hydro One's outage map showed about 1,300 customers were affected in the extreme northeast corner of the city, Gorham Township, Jacques Township and part of the Municipality of Shuniah.
At 11 a.m. the utility estimated it would have power restored by 3 p.m.
Line crews were also responding to were numerous outages affecting smaller numbers of customers southwest of the city.
