THUNDER BAY – Talk about a sign that warm weather will be here soon.
Merla Mae, the locally owned and operated ice cream and burger shop at 346 Memorial Ave., opened its doors on Wednesday.
“Good day Thunder Bay,” the shop’s Facebook post said.
“Merla Mae is now open!!”
The popular summer-time shop, which has been around since the 1950s, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
