ICYMI: Goods & Co. hosting disco dance roller rink this weekend

“We are bringing it back in a new way for everyone of all ages to enjoy.”

This story originally ran on June 14. TBnewswatch has re-posted this story in case you missed it.

THUNDER BAY – If you were a fan of the Wheelies Roller Rink, you may want to purchase tickets to the “disco dance roller rink” that will be held at Goods & Co. Market later this month.

“Due to popular demand we are so excited to host our very first roller skating/blading event at Goods!” said a post on the Goods and Co. Facebook page.

“Wheelies was near and dear to the hearts of the 40+ crowd in Thunder Bay. (This will be) a roller skating arena like no other.

“We are bringing it back in a new way for everyone of all ages to enjoy.”

The market will be transformed into a "disco dance roller rink."

“Folks might remember the retro 80s dance vibes, the big fuzzy pink dice, the Hippo Mascot or perhaps the Sock Hop dance party at the end of the night.

"We are bringing back all the feels with this first ever Wheelies event in TBAY."

The event will be held on Saturday, June 29 – with all ages from 6 to 8 p.m. and 19 plus from 8 to 10 p.m.

A waiver will have to be signed at the event to participate. Helmets, knee pads and other protective gear are encouraged. Wear your best retro fit to win a prize for best dressed.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here
